Minuteman offers technical training programs to adult students who are looking for rewarding jobs in high demand careers. Adults may apply to MTI's Post-Secondary Programs to hone skills in a technical area, retrain for new employment, or learn new technical skills for the first time.
The post-secondary programs follow the Minuteman school calendar and are held during the ten-month period that school is in session, September - June, from 7:45 am - 2:30 pm. Most programs take place in the same labs, shops, and classrooms as the high school programs, with the exception of Advanced Automotive Technology and Cosmetology which have separate adult shops. Our high school students spend every other week in their vocational classes while MTI students spend every week focused on technical skill acquisition and are able to complete the program faster.
Post-secondary students refers to those students who have graduated from high school, earned a G.E.D., and/or earned a post-graduate degree such as an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. Students enrolled in MTI Programs may earn program certificates or Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Certifications and/or Licensure.
MTI students are admitted to Minuteman on a space-available basis.
