Minuteman offers technical training programs to adults who are looking for rewarding jobs in high demand careers. Adults may apply to the MTI Programs to hone skills in a technical area, retrain for new employment, or learn new technical skills for the first time.
Most of our post graduate programs follow the school calendar and are held during the ten-month period that school is in session, September - June, from 7:45 am - 2:30 pm., and take place in the same labs, shops, and classrooms as the high school program. Our high school students spend every other week in their vocational classes, while MTI students spend every week focused on technical skill acquisition.
Some of our programs have separate adult shops, including: Advanced Automotive Technology and Cosmetology. The Plumbing program take place in the evenings.
Most programs are one year in length and start in September.
MTI students refers to those students who have graduated from high school, earned a G.E.D., and/or earned a post graduate degree such as an Associates, Bachelors, Masters, or Ph.D. Students enrolled in MTI Programs may earn program certificates or Commonwealth of Massachusetts State Certifications and/or Licensure.
MTI students are admitted to Minuteman on a space-available basis.
