Requirements for Admission

Applicants who reside in the nine towns that are members of the Minuteman regional school district (Acton, Arlington, Bolton, Concord, Dover, Lancaster, Lexington, Needham, and Stow) can pay in-district tuition rates for the 10-month tuition programs. Minuteman is a public school district that receives local taxpayer funds from these nine towns.

Applicants who reside in Massachusetts but outside of the Minuteman district towns pay out-of-district tuition rates for the 10-month tuition programs.

Applicants for 15-week programs do not pay tuition if they qualify as unemployed or under-employed (read our FAQs). Applicants can only obtain free tuition if they are residents of Massachusetts. The 15-week programs are funded through grants from the Massachusetts Workforce Skills Cabinet. Tuition rates are listed on the program registration pages.

Current high school seniors who will be 18 at the time the program begins are strongly encouraged to apply.
 

• Certified translations must be provided for transcripts supplied in a language other than English.
• An average grade of C or better in high school is preferred; consideration given for trends demonstrating improvement and motivation.
• For applicants who have not yet graduated from high school, a letter from the current high school is required stating that the student is on track to graduate.

The letter should come from an employer, supervisor, colleague, teacher, or guidance counselor.
